Mountains of Power: We review all the news of the first Pokémon GO event in 2022, which will be focused on Pokémon of type Rock and Steel, such as Mega Aerodactyl.
In addition to January 2022 Community Day, Pokémon GO will hold a second event called Mountains of Power these days. It will continue the story of Legacy Season and focus on Rock and Steel type Pokémon. As always we will have new wild encounters, new incursions, new field research tasks, some bonuses and a temporary investigation. Here are all the details:
Pokémon GO — When is the Mountains of Power event?
Mountains of Power is the first Pokémon GO event in 2022 and runs from Friday, January 7 at 10:00 (local Spanish time) until Thursday, January 13 at 20:00 (again, Spanish local time). Follow the story of legacy season (catch up here). In it we will have to collaborate with Spark to unlock the second lock of the mysterious door, catch some Pokémon of type Rock and Steel and cross mountains similar to the regions of Johto and Sinnoh.
Wild Encounters of Mountains of Power
During the event you can capture the following list of Pokémon, all of them with options to be shiny or variocolor. Onix and Ferrosed will be the ones who will appear with less frequency and special mention for Slugma, since never before had his variovolor version come out in Pokémon GO.

Mountains of Power Raids
As far as raids are concerned, the big protagonist is Mega Aerodactyl, although the list is full of big names. Again, they all have ballots to be shiny or variocolor, except for Ursaring, Donphan and Medicham.

The only Mountains of Power bonus will be to halve the distance needed to get hearts with our partner. For its part, the temporary research will be focused on catching Pokémon, hatching Eggs and winning Candy for walking with our companions. The prize for this will be a Mawile and a Beldum. To hunt Pokémon has been said!
